Chippa United v Cape Town City
The more things change the more things stay the same, right? During the suspension of the league, Chippa United shuffled the name on the head coach’s office door once again. In comes Lehlohonolo Seema, who was doing some impressive things with Bloem Celtic, to help the PE-based outfit avoid relegation. They host the Citizens, with key playmaker William Twala unlikely to play, with a three-point lead over bottom side Black Leopards.
City have ambitions of their own with four points to eighth place and a game in hand. Then again, they are just four points clear of 15th place. City coach Jan Olde Riekerink has put his faith in youth after adding seven youth team players to the senior squad including SA under-20 international Zuko Mdunyelwa.
Suggested bet: CTCFC to win at 2.29
Highlands Park v Mamelodi Sundowns
Pitso Mosimane admitted that his side “survived” against Orlando Pirates. The goalless draw, though, keeps Sundowns in the title race but with games coming thick and fast this one is a must win. The defending champions, who will be buoyed by Chiefs draw against Wits, have played twice and while they might have gained some match sharpness, they are also picking up injuries along the way.
Highlands Park start in eighth and for a club, who operate on a tight budget, will be relieved they are looking up and not down at this stage of the campaign.
Suggested bet: Sundowns to win and keep a clean sheet at 2.55
