TS Galaxy are hoping to secure back-to-back wins in the DStv Premiership when they play hosts to SuperSport United at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Sunday evening.

The Rockets are confident coming into this match after they stunned Mamelodi Sundowns to clinch a narrow 1-0 win over the defending champions after Lifa Hlongwane’s 34th-minute goal proved to be the difference at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, Matsatsantsa are looking to secure their first win in the league as they look to bounce back from suffering a 2-1 defeat to AmaZulu after Thapelo Maseko’s opening goal was cancelled out by two second-half goals from Gabadinho Mhango and Bonginkosi Ntuli at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Wednesday evening.
The win takes Galaxy up to sixth place on the table with four points in their first two matches, while SuperSport’s defeat sees them drop down to 12th position on the log with only one point in two matches.
“This is only the second game of the season, we just have to stay calm, focus, keep up the good work,” TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic said.
“We just have to try and keep doing the good things and also improve on what we should do better and to keep going. We will prepare ourselves well for the next game against SuperSport United on Sunday which is going to be a tough game again.”
Ramović added that the win is important to boost the confidence of the players but they must keep on working hard at training and during matches.
“When I came in October, self-confidence was down but you have to put the hard work before the belief. If you just believe but you don’t train well, you don’t have a game plan, structure, patience and dedication. Then it won’t help.
“As a group, we kept the whole team together and just added two more players because I believe in my team and that they have a lot of quality. We knew that organisation at every stage of the game was going to be key and this is what we did.
“We knew that Sundowns have the benchmark in our league, they have an unbelievable team and a great coach. It was a big challenge for us but we knew that if we keep focus and keep the desire to fight for every inch we can compete against any team in the league.
“I think that we played a good game, the opponents gave us a fair and tough game.”
When Galaxy and SuperSport locked horns last season in the DStv Premiership, it was Matsatsantsa, who came out on top after taking four points from a possible six after they won the first leg 2-1 before they shared the spoils with Galaxy when they played out to a 1-1 draw in the return leg.
Sead Ramovic is expected to have his entire Galaxy squad ready for the match without any suspensions or injuries, while Gavin Hunt will have to make a change he’ll be without the services of Kudakwashe Mahachi, who is currently servicing a suspension which spans across all competitions.
Having scored one goal in his last two games for Galaxy, Lifa Hlongwane will be eager to make the most of his chances against United especially after scoring the winning goal against Sundowns.
SuperSport youngster Thapelo Maseko will be hoping to emulate his previous performance for the club after he managed to net his first goal for the club in only his 11th appearance with the first team.
