Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced that duo Lebohang Lesako and Darrel Matsheke have been sent out on a season-long loan to Swallows FC for the 2022-23 season.
Lesako and Matsheke join the Dube Birds for the campaign ahead in the hopes of gaining much-needed experience and game time in the Swallows’ first team.
The Amakhosi duo spent the entire 2021-22 season on loan at Uthongathi FC playing in the GladAfrica Championship, which has since been renamed as the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
They now become Swallows’ sixth and seventh new additions to the squad behind Waseem Isaacs, Lindokuhle Mtshali, Thakasani Mbanjwa, Keegan Allan and Daniel Gozar.
“Amakhosi duo, Lebohang Lesako and Darrel Matsheke have been loaned out to Swallows FC for the upcoming DStv Premiership season,” a club statement said.
