Chelsea are reportedly ready to bring two more new players to Stamford Bridge as their squad revamp continues.
The biggest talking point is not in Chelsea’s pursuit of Jules Kounde but rather that they are now preparing a bid to bring Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong to London.
De Jong has been linked with Manchester United but as the deal stalls, the Blues have reportedly seen a chance to hijack the deal.
The midfielder is being allowed to let go as Barcelona undergo a squad revamp of their own.
Barca have taken a Chelsea player already this summer as Andreas Christensen left the Blues on a free transfer. Antonio Rudiger left for Real Madrid which has forced the Londoners to add options to their system.
Now Chelsea are keen to fight for Kounde’s signature with Barcelona and Bayern Munich interested. The French international will leave Sevilla in a deal worth 50 million pounds but the destination is unknown.
Chelsea have signed Raheem Sterling and defender Kalidou Koulibaly already but their work isn’t done as the new owners look to refresh Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
Barca have also been linked with Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta.
