Arsenal are reportedly working on a deal to sign Ukrainian international Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.
Having already acquired the services of Gabriel Jesus from City this summer, the north London club have their eyes set on bringing his former teammate Zinchenko to the Emirates.
Arsenal and Man City are currently in talks over a potential transfer but a deal could only be struck if the Gunners can meet Man City’s valuation for the player.
The Gunners are thought to be prioritising Zinchenko after missing out on Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez and former City assistant coach Mikel Arteta is keen to reunite with Zinchenko.
The 25-year-old arrived at the defending Premier League outfit from Russia side FC Ufa in 2016 and has two years left on his contract and the full-back has since enjoyed huge success at the club, winning four Premier League titles, the League Cup as well as the FA Cup trophy.
Man City are in the market for a new left-back, with Brighton and Hove Albion’s Marc Cucurella thought to be the leading candidate at present, leaving Arsenal with the opportunity to capture the services of Zinchenko.
