Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has given an update and made a decision on goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke’s future following speculations linking him with a move to the DStv Premiership.
Bakgaga were relegated from the DStv Premiership last season after finishing at the foot of the table and they will now be plying their trade in the Motsepe Foundation Championship for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Masuluke was among a number of players linked with a move away from the Limpopo club and make a move back to the DStv Premiership.
The Limpopo-based outfit have already lost Evidence Makgoba to Orlando Pirates but Bakgaga are keen to keep a hold of Masuluke after releasing Zimbabwean international goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze.
Mphahlele has since revealed that Masuluke will see out the remainder of his three-year contract which is set to expire on 30 June 2023.
“No Masuluke we are keeping him, he is not going that one, we will need his experience next season,” Mphahlele tells KickOff.com.
Masuluke has managed to rack up 23 clean sheets in 78 appearances for Baroka across all competitions since joining the club from TS Sporting in 2020.
