BETTING PREVIEW: SEKHUKHUNE vs KAIZER CHIEFS

Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to close the gap on Cape Town City and Royal AM when they face Sekhukhune United at Ellis Park in their next DStv Premiership fixture on Saturday afternoon.

Kaizer Chiefs will come into this fixture on a two-game unbeaten run despite playing out to a 1-1 draw against champions Mamelodi Sundowns in their last league match which saw Phathutshedzo Nange cancel out Aubrey Modiba’s opener at the FNB Stadium this past weekend.

Sekhukhune United will be determined to bounce back after they were forced to share the spoils with AmaZulu following their goalless draw at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban last Saturday.

The stalemate leaves Sekhukhune in 10th place on the table with 32 points – level on points with 11th placed Marumo Gallants after 28 matches, five points adrift of breaking into the top eight.

Kaizer Chiefs and Sekhukhune United have only met once before in the DStv Premiership with the Soweto giants coming out on top after defeating the Kempton Park-based out 2-0 at the FNB Stadium through goals from Phathutshedzo Nange and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo on 12 December 2021.

Owen Da Gama and Arthur Zwane are both expected to have fully fit squads for the encounter with no injuries or suspensions to report in both camps.

Nigerian forward Chibuike Ohizu will be relishing the chance to find his form against the Soweto giants to add to the seven goals he has already scored this campaign and end his goal duct.

Phathutshedzo Nange is looking to continue his recent form in the league after he earned his side a point against champions Mamelodi Sundowns thanks to his 76th-minute equaliser over the weekend.
