Al Ahly will be looking to secure a place in the Caf Champions League final for the third successive season when they take on ES Setif in the return leg at the Stade 5 Juillet 1962 on Saturday evening.

The Red Eagles will travel to Algeria with a four-goal advantage after they cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory at the Al Salam Stadium this past weekend.

South African star Percy Tau played a prime role in the first leg after he bagged a brace, while claiming two assists to set up goals for Taher Mohamed and Mohamed Sherif.

The defending champions will now be hoping to walk away with another positive result in the return leg to secure their place in the Champions League final for the third successive year.

Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane: “We have not qualified yet. We still didn’t qualify.

“I’ve been a coach for 21 years. I’ve seen teams turn a score from 4-0 to 5-4. Our fans trust us, believe in us, and support us from first to last minute. They always support us.”

In head-to-head fixtures, Al Ahly and ES Setif have only met on four occasions with the Egyptian giants and Algerian side both claiming two wins each.

Réda Bendriss only has one player sidelined in the form of defender Hocine Laribi, who is currently nursing a leg injury, while Mosimane will be without the services of three players as Badr Benoun (Heart Condition), Amar Hamdy (Cruciate Ligament Rupture) and Akram Tawfik (Cruciate Ligament Rupture) due to injury

ES Setif will continue to rely on Akram Djahnit to produce the goods, having already scored two goals and assisted a further three so far in this competition, despite not finding the back of the net in the first leg.

Percy Tau will be relishing the chance to continue his run of form in the competition after he scored two goals and assisted two in the first leg against their Algerian counterpart.
