Liverpool will be looking to book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals when they welcome Inter Milan to Anfield on Tuesday evening.


Liverpool will head into the second leg with a win in their last game after Sadio Mane scored the winning goal to guide the Reds past West Ham United in their Premier League encounter over the weekend.

Liverpool start with a 2-0 aggregate lead

The Reds currently are on a 15 game unbeaten run across all competitions as they managed to claim victories in all three of their last fixtures starting with an 11-10 win on penalties over Chelsea in the EFL Cup final followed by a 2-1 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup Fifth Round before securing a narrow 1-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League.


Inter Milan will come into this fixture high in confidence after they secured a comfortable 5-0 victory over Salernitana in their last game at the San Siro through a hattrick by Lautaro Martínez and a brace from Edin Dzeko.


Nerazzurri current are on an unbeaten run in their last three games, firstly playing out to a goalless draw against Genoa in the Serie A followed by another goalless draw against rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia before cruising to a 5-0 win over Salernitana in their last game.

In the last three matches between the two teams in the Champions League, Liverpool have come out on top by winning all three matches, winning the first one 2-0 at home followed by a 1-0 win away from home before securing a 2-0 win in their most recent encounter in the UCL.


The Reds will depend on Sadio Mane to produce his magic down the left flank after scoring four goals in his last three games in the league following his decisive goal against West Ham United over the weekend.

The Italian giants will reply on Lautaro Martínez to produce the good after rediscovering his scoring for over the weekend when he netted his first hat-trick of the season in their 5-0 win over Salernitana in the Serie A.


Jurgen Klopp only has one player sidelined for the encounter as Joel Matip will be out of contention through illness, while Simone Inzaghi will be without the services of Nicolò Barella, who is currently serving a match suspension.
