Inter Milan have one foot in the final when they clash with rivals AC Milan on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.
Inter lead 2-0 after goals from former Premier League duo Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan saw the visitors go well clear. It’s a significant advantage going into this encounter.
Inter will be tipped to become the first Italian finalist since Juventus faced Real Madrid six years ago.
They will face Real Madrid or Manchester City in the finale.
Tuesday’s match at the San Siro kicks off at 9pm.
AC Milan’s preparations were thrown in tatters when they lost 2-0 at Spezia. It’ a result that leaves Milan coach Stefano Pioli under heaps of pressure.
AC Milan remain fifth in Serie A following the disastrous showing on the road.
Inter continued their winning run thanks to a 4-2 win over Sassuolo which was inspired by a brace from Romelu Lukaku and which also saw in-form Lautaro Martinez get amongst the goals.
Simone Inzaghi will be a manager pleased heading into the contest with three wins in four tries in this derby already. Not only is his side dominating the derby but they are also on a seven match winning run.
It looks likely to be eight after Tuesday night.
