Brighton have won four of their last six league games. Their red-hot form will have them confident they can break their home PL duck against Liverpool at the sixth time of asking (D1, L4). If the home side win, they’ll actually move ahead of the visitors on the table.

Liverpool fell to a shock 3-1 defeat to Brentford in the league. It was a defeat that halted a four-game winning streak for Jürgen Klopp’s men.

The Reds fin themselves seven points off the top four and they have a woeful record on the road to blame; Liverpool have already lost half of their away games this campaign (W2, D2, L4). And Brighton will be tougher to beat with Virgil Van Dijk missing.

Leandro Trossard’s hat-trick earned his side a draw in the reverse fixture at Anfield and he’ll be raring to go. Mohamed Salah enjoys playing against Brighton, he has clocked up 12 goal contributions (G6, A6) in 11 matches against the Seagulls.
