The Red Devils will hope to have Marcus Rashford restored to the starting lineup on Tuesday as they host Bournemouth.
Despite being dropped by manager Erik ten Hag, the England star came off the bench to rescue United and earn them a vital point against Wolves.
Spurs dropped points which meant that Rashford’s winner ensured his club’s fifth win in a row across all competitions. And now they sit in fourth place two back of Newcastle.
Bournemouth have lost two in a row and have a terrible run of form at Old Trafford heading into this tie. The Red Devils have never lost a home H2H meeting (W8, D1). The festive period proved anything but merry for Bournemouth, who lost all three matches since the restart without scoring a goal.
While all eyes will be on Marcus Rashford’s incredible form, the visitors must be wary of Bruno Fernandes too …
The playmaker assisted in the victory over Wolves, and also directly contributed to three goals in his only personal meeting with Bournemouth (G1, A2).
United look to be on the up and while they are linked with many new players in the window, the arrival of Casemiro and Raphael Varane has done the trick. They are yet to concede a league goal this season when the pair have been on the pitch together – a record now spanning greater than 500 minutes of play.
