Chelsea will welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge as the two sides battle for fourth place in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues will look to return to winning ways after they were held to a goalless draw by a stubborn Brentford side on Wednesday.

The Red Devils are on a three-game unbeaten run in the league after they secured a comfortable 2-0 win over rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The win was marred by Cristiano Ronaldo storming out of the ground before the final whistle and refusing to come on as a substitute. He has now been left out of the squad and will train alone.

Chelsea’s stalemate saw them remain in fourth place on the table with 20 points, while United’s win took them within one point.

When the two sides met in the home and away Premier League fixtures last season, both Chelsea and Man Utd walk away with two points apiece after both fixtures ended in a 1-1 draw.

Graham Potter is expected to be without the services of Wesley Fofana (knee), Reece James (knee) and N’Golo Kante (thigh), who are all out again as they continue to be on the mend from their respective injuries.

Erik ten Hag is be without star man Cristiano Ronaldo, who walked off before half time against Spurs, and he now joins Axel Tuanzebe (unspecified), Brandon Williams (unspecified), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (muscle), Harry Maguire (hamstring), Donny van de Beek (muscle) and Anthony Martial (back) on the injury list.

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been a crucial part of the Blues’ starting line up this season and has made 12 saves in his last two games, however, he has conceded nine goals in four appearances against United.

Marcus Rashford will look to continue his form against Chelsea, having scored five goals against the Blues, only scoring more against Leicester City and Liverpool, respectively.
