Kaizer Chiefs and TS Galaxy are two sides aiming to return to winning ways in the DStv Premiership when they meet at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Soweto giants conceded their first defeat in six matches following their 2-1 loss to Chippa United at the FNB Stadium last time out.
The Rockets, meanwhile, are in a far more serious freefall. They are on a seven-game winless run in the league after playing out to a goalless draw against Swallows FC.
The defeat left Amakhosi in fourth place albeit level on 17 points with third-placed SuperSport United. Galaxy’s stalemate saw them drop down to 11th place on the log with 11 points.
“We are taking it one game at a time. We need to focus on the game against TS Galaxy on Wednesday and make sure we do well at home,” said Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane.
“Additionally, we approach league and cup games differently, so our preparation is for Wednesday. We will go out there and give it our best.”

When the two teams squared off in the DStv Premiership last season, both teams walked away with two points after the home and away fixture ended in a goalless draw.
Zwane will be without two players, including in-form striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, who is out with a thigh muscle strain and Lehlogonolo Matlou, who continues to recover from a back injury.
Sead Ramovic will be boosted by the fact that he’ll have his entire squad fit and ready for the upcoming fixture with no injuries or suspensions to report.
Ashley Du Preez will be hoping to shine in the absence of Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana as he looks to end his six-game goal drought.
Ebrahim Seedat will be relishing the chance to rediscover his form for Galaxy after he scored his side’s last goal after they failed to find the net in their last seven league matches.
