Anthony Martial will be absent as Manchester United face Omonia in the return leg of their Europa League action.
Group E was nearly set alight last week when the Cypriot side scored first against the Red Devils. Erik ten Hag pulled the strings though as substitutes Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial scored in the 3-2 win.
Martial limped out of the United win against Everton and will miss this contest. As will out of favour Harry Maguire.
So far United have managed six points from three Europa League games which is good enough for second in Group E behind a perfect Real Sociedad side.
Nine goals conceded from their last three games in all competitions will come as a concern to Ten Hag. But Raphael Varane is fit again and should resume his partnership with Lisandro Martinez.
If Neil Lennon’s side are to produce a shock and blow Group E wide open against Manchester United, they must do what no other side from Cyprus has done before – win an away game against an English club.
It appears unlikely. But never say never in football.
