MTN8: Can Chiefs secure the advantage?

Kaizer Chiefs are set to play host to AmaZulu when the two teams square off in the MTN8 semi-final first let played at the FNB Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Amakhosi secured their place in the semi-finals of the competition after they came from behind to defeat Stellenbosch FC 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the quarter-finals at the Danie Craven Stadium.

Usuthu, meanwhile, secured a 2-1 victory over Cape Town City after extra time at Athlone Stadium to book their spot in the last four of the competition.

In the last four meetings between the two sides, three out of the four matches have ended in draws, while the only other game was won by Usuthu.

Arthur Zwane is expected to be without two players, which includes Khama Billiat, who is out with a knee injury, while Lehlogonolo Matlou is sidelined due to a back injury, while Brandon Truter will have his entire at his disposal with no fresh injuries or suspension to report.

Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana will be itching to score his first goal in the top eight competition after he managed to find the back of the net twice in his last three appearances for Amakhosi.

Gabadinho Mhango will certainly be relishing to chance to add to his tally of three goals in eight matches, having only registered an assist in the competition thus far.
