The Gunners, meanwhile, are looking to make it three consecutive wins in a row after they showed their class by claiming a commanding 4-2 victory over Leicester City led by a brace from Gabriel Jesus and goals from Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli.
The defeat leaves Bournemouth sitting in 11th place while Arsenal occupy second.
“We know what Gabby can do. He scored two and assisted two and he’s still disappointed in the dressing room because he said he could have scored four,” said Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on the form of Gabriel Jesus.
“That’s the standard, that’s the mentality that if you want to go to a different level you need that mentality.
“I wouldn’t like to play against him. I have never been a defender but I can imagine that they don’t enjoy it. He’s so mobile, so intuitive and is always sharp and proactive to play in any moment and any phase of the game and he’s a real threat.”
When the two teams last met in the Premier League, the Gunners came out on top after claiming four points out of a possible six by clinching a 1-0 win in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium before playing out to a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium in the return leg back in 2019.
Scott Parker will have his full Bournemouth squad fit and ready for the encounter, while the Gunners will be boosted by the return of attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira, who is now fit following a foot injury. Reiss Nelson remains sidelined with a muscle injury.
Although Kieffer Moore has only scored one goal so far, the Bournemouth forward has a knack for scoring late goals, with his last 11 club strikes coming after the 65th minute.
Gabriel Jesus has started his Arsenal career like a house on fire as he has already bagged two goals and two assists in his first two matches but he has a good personal record against Bournemouth as he feature five times against them and was part of the winning side on all five occasions.
