Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing star Allan Saint-Maximin from fellow Premier League outfit Newcastle United, according to reports.
The Blues are said to have enquired about the possibility of acquiring the services of Saint-Maximin this summer but reports have also surfaced that Spurs are also keen on the player but are put off by his £40 million price tag.

Thomas Tuchel is currently working on reshaping and rebuilding his squad for the upcoming season and has identified Saint-Maximin as a potential target, however, after Spurs signed Richarlison their interest in the Newcastle forward has not become their top priority.
Saint-Maximin made the move to Newcastle from OGC Nice in 2019 and established himself as a regular in the Magpies first team, making 37 appearances across all competitions while scoring and assisting five goals apiece.
Having already signed Raheem Sterling, Tuchel looks to be interested in further bolstering his attacking options and Saint-Maximin would be the ideal candidate to fit that role, who could play as a winger or as a second striker.
But the Newcastle star will not come cheap as the club has valued the winger at around £40m but Chelsea could yet work out a negotiate a cut-price fee, with the lure of playing Champions League football as well as fighting for every piece of silverware on offer this coming season.
