The defender, who has 30 caps for Bafana Bafana, then joined Orlando Pirates in 2019 and played for two seasons before departing.

“The signing of “Tyson” is a wonderful addition for the club and he comes with a lot of experience,” said his new coach.

“He was the Bafana Bafana captain as well as my captain at Bidvest Wits, we won trophies together and he’s definitely ready to get working and to get going again. It’s a huge opportunity for him and for us at the club.”

Hunt rejoined SuperSport last week.

“I am really excited and looking forward to the challenge ahead, especially to work with younger players at the club and build the team to ensure the club is successful and competitive in the PSL. I am looking forward to this challenge,” Hunt said.

He coached the Pretoria club for six years between 2007 and 2013 and won three domestic league titles and the Nedbank Cup.
