Sekhukhune reveal fresh lineup

Sekhukhune United have continued to bolster their squad after unveiling five new signings ahead of the 2022-23 season.

The Gauteng-based outfit recently confirmed the signing of Denwin Farmer, Abednego Mosiatlhaga, Linda Mntambo, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Elias Mokwana and Tshepo Mokhabi.


However, Sekhukhune have now continued to strengthen their squad by adding five more players to their squad in the form of Thamsanqa Masiya, Lesego Sebetlela, Trésor Tshibwabwa Yamba Yamba, Wonderboy Makhubu and Badra Ali Sangaré.

Babina Noko are now preparing to participate in their second DStv Premiership campaign after finishing in 11th place in the league standings with 33 points from 30 matches, having won eight, drew nine and conceded 13 defeats last season.

Sekhukhune United have since released the following statement on the unveiling of five new players, which reads as follows:

“Sekhukhune United Football Club is delighted to announce the latest additions to the team. Thamsanqa Masiya, Lesego Sebetlela, Trésor Tshibwabwa, Yamba Yamba, Wonderboy Makhubu and Badra Ali Sangaré.

Masiya, who is product of Mamelodi Sundowns development, played for Baroka FC this past season and is a former South Africa junior international.

Sebetlela, 23, is a defender and has joined Babina Noko from MM Platinum FC (La Masia) after impressing during the ABC Motsepe League playoffs.

Yamba Yamba is a 23-year-old Democratic Republic of Congo defender who comes from Zambia’s topflight side Red Arrows, while Makhubu is a striker who played for the University of Pretoria last season on loan from Baroka.

Lastly, Sangaré is a 36-year-old goalkeeper from Ivory Coast who has been playing for JDR Stars in the GladAfrica Championship.”
