Tottenham Hotspur face a crucial clash against Leicester City on Sunday as they look to keep hunting for a top four finish in the English Premier League.

Recently, Arsenal have moved into fourth place after picking up impressive wins over Manchester United and Chelsea in their last two matches. By contrast, inconsistent Spurs are coming off the back of a shock loss to Brighton and a disappointing draw against Brentford.

As a result, the Gunners are now two log points ahead of Spurs (with both teams having played the same number of games), with Arsenal set for a tricky battle against West Ham on Sunday evening.

With that in mind, Tottenham will be determined to pick up maximum points against 10th-placed Leicester to move into fourth spot before hoping the Hammers can do them a favour.

Spurs will still be without midfielder Oliver Skipp after it was confirmed that he has undergone another surgery for a pelvic injury.

Notably, although stalwart Harry Kane has not scored in their last five matches, he is historically more prolific against Leicester City than any other opponent. The striker has scored 18 goals in 17 appearances against the Foxes since spending half a season on loan there in 2013, and there is every chance he could be back on the scoresheet on Sunday.

However, it’s Korean striker Heung-min Son who will lead the attack for the Spurs. Son has been impressive once again this season, scoring 17 goals to go with six assists.

“We’re running out of games in terms of dropping points,” Kane said ahead of the key clash.

“There are five games left, and we feel like we are pretty much going to have to win all of them to get that spot. We are more than capable of doing that, we believe in that, and that is what we’ll try and do.”

Leicester have only managed one win from their last five games, and another defeat is likely to be on the cards.
