Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to build on their thrilling win over Swallows FC when they welcome a wounded Golden Arrows side to Loftus Versfeld Stadium in their next DStv Premiership clash on Tuesday evening.
The Brazilians will enter the encounter looking to secure back-to-back wins in the DStv Premiership following their thrilling 4-2 victory over Swallows FC in their last game played at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday evening after a hat-trick from Peter Shalulile and a goal from Surprise Ralani to walk away with all three points away from home.
The victory saw Sundowns extend their lead at the top of the league standings to 11 points over second-placed Royal AM, with 54 points from 23 matches played so far this season.
Golden Arrows will be looking to bounce back and return to winning ways after they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands-off Stellenbosch FC at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday after they were undone by goals from Jayden Adams and Ashley du Preez.
Abafana Bes’thende now finds themselves sitting in ninth place on the league table – level on 31 points with SuperSport United in eighth place, trailing the log leaders by 23 points after 23 matches played thus far.
In head-to-head stats, Sundowns have been the dominant team of the two sides and have won the last two meetings between the two teams, while the other three fixtures have all ended in a draw.
