Cape Town City and Marumo Gallants will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the DStv Premiership when the two teams meet at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday evening.
Cape Town City come into this game on a four game unbeaten run in the league following their 2-1 victory over Sekhukhune United in their last game at the DHL Stadium on Saturday, 05 March when goals from Craig Martin and Khanyisa Mayo cancelled out Yusuf Maart’s equalising goal.
The Citizens have not lost a league game since their 3-2 defeat to SuperSport United in December last year as they have claimed a 1-0 win over Golden Arrows followed by a goalless draw against Orlando Pirates before edging out Sekhukhune 2-1 in their last three matches.
Eric Tinkler’s side currently sits in sixth place in the league standings with 30 points after securing seven wins, nine draws and conceding four defeats in 20 matches played so far this season.

Marumo Gallants are currently on a five game unbeaten streak in the league after extending their run in the last game which saw them share the spoils with Chippa United after they played out to a goalless draw at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Gallants last conceded a defeat in December last year when they went down after a 2-1 loss to Orlando Pirates, but since then they have managed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Baroka FC and a narrow 1-0 win over Stellenbosch FC before playing out to a goalless draw.
Dan Malesela’s men will go into this fixture sitting in 10th place in the league table with a total of 29 points, having conceded seven defeats, played out to eight draws and secured seven wins in 22 league matches.
In the last three meetings between the two sides in the DStv Premiership, the Citizens have had the upper hand over Gallants after winning one game 3-0, while two matches has seen the teams share the spoils after playing out to a 2-2 and 0-0 draw.
Khanyisa Mayo is gradually finding his form in a City jersey and has proven to be a vital asset upfront for the Citizens this campaign, having two goals and two assists in his last five games for the club.
Despite not playing in their last game against Chippa United, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo has been Gallants in-form player after he scored six goals in his last four league games.
Goalkeeper Darren Keet remains the only player sidelined for Eric Tinkler’s side as Hugo Marques remains in goal for CT City, while goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo is the only injured player in Dan Malesela’s squad.
