Orlando Pirates vs Arrows

Orlando Pirates will be looking to build on their win in the Caf Confederation Cup when they welcome Golden Arrows to the Orlando Stadium in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday evening.

Orlando Pirates will be hoping to extend their winning run across all competitions to five games after they opened their Caf Confederation Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over Algerian outfit JS Saoura at the Orlando Stadium this past Sunday through goals from Happy Jele and Bandile Shandu.

Golden Arrows will want to lick their wounds following their early exit from the Nedbank Cup after the defending champions Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila defeated Arrows 7-6 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the Last 32 match at the Thohoyandou Stadium on 5 February.

Deon Hotto and Kwame Peprah have stepped up for the Buccaneers this campaign and find themselves as the clubs top scorers with four goals apiece, with Linda Mntambo one goal behind them in third, while Michael Gumede has been leading Arrows front the front with five goals to his name in the DStv Premiership.

For the home side, coach Mandla Ncikazi will be boosted by the return of Zakhele Lepasa, who spent the bulk of the season on the sidelines with an ankle injury, while Arrows’ boss Lehlohonolo Seema has a full squad without any injuries or suspensions for the next match.
