The Champions League returns this week, with AC Milan hosting Liverpool, Manchester City are away to RB Leipzig, Real Madrid play hosts to Inter Milan on Tuesday in the final round of the group stages.


AC Milan vs Liverpool


Liverpool will aim to make it six wins from six when they travel to the San Siro to lock horns with AC Milan in their final group stage encounter.

Jurgen Klopp’s side’s dominant form in Group B has already ensured their place in the last 16, while Stefano Pioli’s men are involved in a three-way battle for second place in the group.

The Reds will come into this match high in confidence after they secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League over the weekend thanks to a stoppage-time winner by Divock Origi.

The Rossoneri, meanwhile, moved to the top of the Serie A standings after they saw off bottom side Salernitana 2-0 on Saturday at the San Siro through goals from Frank Kessie and Alexis Saelemaekers.

When Liverpool and AC Milan last met in their Group B first leg, the Reds edged Milan 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at Anfield after an own goal by Fikayo Tomori and goals from Mohamed Salah and Jordan Henderson was enough to get the home side past the Italian side on 15 September.

RB Leipzig vs Manchester City


Manchester City will finish top of the Group A standings as they round off the group stages with a trip to Germany to take on RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena.

Pep Guardiola’s men saw off Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in their last Champions League fixture, while Achim Beierlorzer’s side cruised to a comfortable 5-0 thrashing of Club Brugge.

The German side enters the final group stage clash hoping to bounce back following their 2-1 defeat to 1. FC Union Berlin at the Alte Forsterei in the Bundesliga match last Friday.

Meanwhile, the Citizens leapfrogged Liverpool and Chelsea to the top of the Premier League standings after strolling to a commanding 3-1 win over struggling side Watford on Saturday.
In the last meeting between the two teams, Man City claimed a thrilling 6-3 victory over Leipzig in their opening Champions League game at the Etihad Stadium as an own goal from Nordi Mukiele and goals from Nathan Aké, Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish, João Cancelo and Gabriel Jesus handed the home side a commanding win.

Real Madrid vs Inter Milan


Top spot in Group D will be up for grabs when Real Madrid lock horns with Inter Milan in their final group stage encounter at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men are currently top of the Group D standings, two points clear of Simone Inzaghi’s chargers in second place, with both teams already securing their place in the knockout stages of the competition.


In their last game, Los Blancos opened an eight-point gap at the top of the La Liga standings following their slick 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena as Vinícius Júnior and Luka Jovic got their names on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Internazionale climbed up to second place in the Serie A standings after they secured a comfortable 3-0 win over AS Roma at the Olimpico in Rome courtesy of goals from Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Edin Džeko and Denzel Dumfries.

The Spanish giants edged Milan 1-0 when the two sides last did battle at the Giuseppe Meazza after Rodrygo’s goal proved to be the difference between the two sides on 15 September.
