TS Galaxy will be hoping to further move away from the relegation zone when they welcome Cape Town City to the Mbombela Stadium in their next DStv Premiership clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Rockets managed to secure only their second win in the league this past weekend when they defeated Swallows FC 1-0 at the same venue in Nelspruit through an early goal from Sphiwe Mahlangu.

Meanwhile, the Citizens played out to their fourth stalemate in the league so far this campaign after they were forced to share the spoils with rivals Mamelodi Sundowns at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

Sead Ramovic’s side leapfrogging their opponents out of the DStv Premiership’s relegation playoff zone and into 14th place in the league standings with eight points after 11 games, Eric Tinkler’s men are in ninth place on the log with 13 points from 10 games.

When Galaxy and CT City last squared off in the DStv Premiership, the Cape Town-based outfit came out on top after claiming a thrilling 3-2 victory at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, 19 December 2020 when goals from Bradley Ralani, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Taariq Fielies was enough to cancel out Mxolisi Macuphu’s brace.
