BETTING PREVIEW: OLE’S LAST MATCH IN CHARGE OF MANCHESTER UNITED?

Premier League Betting

Manchester United’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur will be firmly in the spotlight on Saturday as under-fire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team desperately go in search of a redemptive result in the Premier League.

Solskjaer has received another stay of execution following last Sunday’s horror 5-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford. Yet, another loss will surely take the cries for “Ole Out” to a deafening level that can no longer be ignored.

BET ON THE PREMIER LEAGUE

The nightmare defeat to the Reds has seen United slip down to seventh place in the league standings, but log position seems almost besides the point at this stage of the season.

Right now, the primary focus is simply on how United respond after a defeat that has reverberated around the football world, and seen numerous fans turn on Solskjaer, as well as underperforming players such as captain Harry Maguire, and the club’s unpopular Glazer family owners.

Despite a run of results that has seen United collect just one point from a possible 12, Solskjaer remains determined to find the means to turn the team’s fortunes around.

BETTING ODDS: MAN UNITED START AS FAVOURITES

“I have come too far, we have come too far as a group. We are too close to give up now,” Solskjaer commented emphatically, although he has fully admitted that the team has recently “hit a brick wall”.

In particular, the Red Devils have to find a way to remedy a woeful defence that has seen them keep just one clean sheet in 21 games.

Earlier this week, left back Luke Shaw seemingly sought to take some pressure off Solskjaer by admitting the players needed to accept an onus of responsibility.

“I think it’s ourselves that we need to look at, first and foremost, in the mirror,” he stated. “Are we doing everything right and preparing right for the games in ourselves?

“Of course we have the tactics and how the manager wants us to play, but I think at times we’re way too easy to play against.”

Meanwhile, it’s hardly been a season to remember for Spurs, who are just one point ahead of United in the standings, and they will head into Saturday’s match under pressure of their own after a 1-0 defeat to West Ham last weekend.

Ineed, it will be fascinating to see if there is a shake-up to the team lineups or tactics as both powerhouse clubs head into a must-win match that is undoubtedly shaping up as a season-defining fixture.

As the final clash that’s scheduled for Saturday’s 10th round of Premier League action, there is no doubt that all eyes will be firmly fixed on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Suggested bet: Over 2.25 match goals at 1.52
