SuperSport United’s early season form will be tested when they travel to play Swallows in one of two Sunday matches in the PSL.
“It’s going to one of those long, long days at the office for both teams,” says PSL legend Teko Modise.
SuperSport travel for a 3pm kick-off in Soweto as Swallows look to climb up the table. The home side start in eighth place with a loss, draw and win in their first three matches.
SuperSport have started well and are second with two draws and a win. They will be wary of the home side’s abilities to break down defensive patterns and perhaps, would settle for a point at a venue where most teams might struggle to leave with a point.
“Swallows don’t like to lose. They just battle and do everything they can to avoid defeat and they don’t give up much. SuperSport, you know, tend to play better against the bigger sides. I think both teams will score but I don’t know if SuperSport can win it.
“I can’t see anyone winning that game to be honest. There will be chances at both ends but it’s too close to call.”
The match at the Dobsonsville Stadium precedes the 5pm kick-off between home side Sundowns and TS Galaxy. The visitors are outsiders at 7.28 to win this contest.
The defending champions are already back on top of standings and don’t look to be slowing down.
