SportPesa Brand Ambassador Teko Modise is back this week to look at the MTN8 semi-final first leg clash between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

Here’s what he had to say on the upcoming fixture.

“Orlando Pirates are struggling for results.  They are not playing as a team and look disjointed. There are a lot of new faces in the team that are battling to adjust.

When Pirates played against Stellenbosch their defence was really exposed and lacks pace. Stellenbosch pressed them high and Pirates looked uncomfortable having to play from the back. Combined with their midfield not being able to control the game really typifies how they have played this season.

Kaizer Chiefs bounced back from their opening day defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns with a hard fought win against Chippa United during the week. They played with purpose and looked a lot better against Chippa. Chiefs were full of running and pressing and showed great attitude. They showed plenty of speed and will go into this weekend’s Soweto Derby full of confidence.

There’s still a lot of work to be done for Kaizer Chiefs, but they did show that they are turning things around with a much improved performance against Chippa.

I’m expecting Kaizer Chiefs to dominate this game and for their pace around the park to really worry the Orlando Pirates defence and expose their lack of pace.

I am expecting Kaizer Chiefs to win the derby.”

Teko’s Pick:  Kaizer Chiefs to win at 2.64

Bet on the MTN8
