Shikhar Dhawan scored a second consecutive ton and Kagiso Rabada maintained his fine form but the Kings XI still snuck past the Delhi Capitals.
Batting first, Dhawan blasted 106* off 61 balls but the Capitals could only reach 164/5. That meant that around the Indian star, the others in the lineup could only muster 54 off 59.
Defending the modest total, Punjab slumped to 56/3 with Chris Gayle and KL Rahul back in the hut.
That left Nicholas Pooran still there and he sent the bowling to all parts en route to his 53 off 28. He was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada, who also got rid of Glenn Maxwell but it was too late as the Kings XI knocked off the remaining 18 from 25 deliveries to seal the win.
Rabada’s 2/27 in vain as the Capitals lost by 5 wickets.
