Atalanta vs Venezia Team News and Injuries
Atalanta team news
Atalanta are now coached by Maurizio Sarri, not Gian Piero Gasperini. Sarri named a 23-man squad for the fixture, including Gianluca Scamacca, Charles De Ketelaere, Giacomo Raspadori, Éderson, Franck Kessié, Mario Pašalić, Lazar Samardžić and Giorgio Scalvini.
The current squad gives Atalanta several ways to structure the attack, but the immediate priority is reversing a run of three consecutive Serie A defeats.
Venezia team news
Giovanni Stroppa said the international break helped Venezia recover several players and work with a healthier group. He named a 28-man squad for the trip to Bergamo.
The attacking options include Akor Adams, Albion Rrahmani, John Yeboah, Antonio Fernández and Lion Lauberbach, while Kike Pérez, Toma Basic and Simon Sohm are among the midfield choices.

Atalanta vs Venezia Form and Serie A Standings
Atalanta opened the league season with wins over Sassuolo and Bologna before losing three consecutive matches against Roma, Cagliari and Juventus. That run leaves Sarri’s side needing a response at home.
Venezia have had a much harder return to Serie A. They have lost all five league matches so far: against Lecce, Milan, Frosinone, Fiorentina and Lazio. They have scored four goals and conceded 13 across those five fixtures.
Atalanta vs Venezia H2H
Atalanta have the stronger recent head-to-head record. The Bergamo side are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Venezia in all competitions, with four wins and one draw.
The most recent meeting at this venue finished 0-0 in Serie A in March 2025. Across 26 previous competitive meetings in Bergamo, Atalanta have 15 wins, Venezia have five and six have ended in draws.

Key Players and Tactical Angles
Atalanta’s attacking options now look very different from the older Gasperini-era lineup referenced in the draft. Scamacca can provide a central reference, while De Ketelaere, Raspadori, Samardžić and Pašalić give Sarri several creative combinations around the final third.
Venezia’s challenge is to turn improved squad availability into a more stable performance after five straight defeats. Stroppa can choose between several forwards, including Adams and Rrahmani, while his midfield must help Venezia spend more time away from their own defensive third.
