Diamond League Paris 2026 .The 2026 Meeting de Paris, a Wanda Diamond League meeting held at Stade Charléty on 28 June, brought leading athletes together across track and field. South Africa’s two confirmed results on the programme came from Akani Simbine in the men’s 100m and Prudence Sekgodiso in the women’s 800m.

Akani Simbine finishes fourth in the men’s 100m

Simbine recorded 9.97 seconds to take fourth place in Paris. The result was a season’s best and kept the South African sprinter inside 10 seconds in a high-level international race.

Prudence Sekgodiso sets an 800m personal best

Sekgodiso represented South Africa in the women’s 800m. She finished fourth in 1:56.83, a personal best. Switzerland’s Audrey Werro won the race in 1:53.80, a Diamond League record and meeting record.
