Kaizer Chiefs will face Yanga this Sunday. This marks Nabi’s debut coaching appearance in South Africa since joining Amakhosi.
Kaizer Chiefs will host Tanzania’s current champions, Young Africans, to the first annual Toyota Cup at the Toyota Free State Stadium.
The “ground-breaking pre-season Cup,” as described by Amakhosi, will involve the club competing against some of Africa’s top football clubs during the off-season for the next three years. This initiative extends Chiefs’ existing sponsorship agreement with Toyota SA.
Amakhosi head into the match after a productive pre-season training session in Turkey. Led by new coach Nasreddine Nabi, formerly of Yanga FC, the team spent more than three weeks in Istanbul, participating in numerous friendly matches.
