Manchester City can heap misery on Arsenal when they meet in the biggest Premier League game of the season.
Wednesday’s blockbuster at the Etihad kicks off at 9pm.
Arsenal arrive in Manchester with a five point lead. It’s not nearly as big as they wanted following a run of three straight draws.
That coupled with City’s tremendous form means that City will be two points back if they win on home soil with two games in hand.
It’s starting to look like the treble is on the cards; City saw off Bayern Munich (W 4-1 on aggregate) to reach the Champions League semi-finals and then beat Sheffield United (W 3-0) in the FA Cup semi-final.
This one has a City win all over it and recent history suggests it will be the case too.
Pep Guardiola’s side hasn’t conceded in any of the last four head to heads here (W4), highlighting how difficult they’ve made it for the North Londoners in recent years.
Arsenal were eight points clear at the top on 1 April but it’s all falling to pieces now.
Riyad Mahrez scored an FA Cup hat-trick on Saturday and given he’s made three goal contributions in his last four league appearances against Arsenal (G1, A2), could have a role to play.
That could be important if either Gabriel Jesus or Gabriel Martinelli net early – both have scored twice within the first 30 minutes across Arsenal’s last three games!
