Cheick Soumaro and Mahlatse Makudubela scored late on as Bahlabane ba Ntwa registered just a fourth win of the season.
They remain bottom of the log, but have closed to within one point of the relegation playoff zone and to within three points of safety.
Gallants will be without four players namely Abram Ngcobo, Edgar Manaka, Ismael Olivier Toure and Sibusiso Sibeko who are all suspended.
Chiefs are coming into this game in fine form having won five matches in a row across all competitions – including four league games.
Coach Arthur Zwane’s side is currently placed fourth on the PSL standings – level on points with second-placed Orlando Pirates and third-placed SuperSport United.
There are six games left and the runners-up will qualify for next season’s Champions League with Mamelodi Sundowns having already clinched the league championship.
Keagan Dolly wants to continue to impress after scoring against Stellies.
“As a striker, an attacking player you always want to score,” Dolly told the Chiefs media team.
“Or at least create chances for the team, so the team can win. So, I a, happy. I am getting my confidence back in front of goal.
“And hopefully I can keep on scoring and help the team get to where we want to be,” added Dolly.
