The Buccaneers have won two and lost one since the opening match of the cup.

“We don’t rotate, especially now that we’re playing one game a week,” the Spaniard said. “So if you find any changes in the starting XI from our last game against Swallows it will be because someone is not available or the coach decides to introduce a different profile player for tactics, but not because of rotation.”

“We have done our job in trying to know as much as possible about our opponents,” he added.

“We’ll take the game really seriously, we want to be in the next round so we’re going to take care of every detail, as we usually do.

“These games are complicated. Even though the team comes from the first division it’s a team of quality with experienced players and an experienced coach.

“Even though we have to assume we’re the favourites, you can find yourselves a man down after 15 minutes. And usually these things happen when you’re not 100 per cent focused, which can happen when you face teams from a lower league. We’re trying to work seriously and continue our momentum from the last game.”

Venda are just five points clear of the relegation zone in 14th place after winning just one of the last five league matches.

Joel Masutha’s team beat ABC Motsepe League outfit Black Cross 2-1 in the round of 32, having needed penalties to get past MFC rivals Hungry Lions in the qualifying round.
