The famous Westfalenstadion will place host to the first-ever meeting between Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea on Wednesday night.
The two teams face off in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
It’s been some time since Dortmundprogressed to the knockout rounds after finishing second in Group G behind Manchester City.
And for Chelsea fans, it seems like a lifetime ago since the Blues navigated their way past AC Milan, Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb to secure top spot in Group E.
Chelsea are under massive pressure with Graham Potter now fearing the sack after winning only three of his last 14 games as Chelsea boss across all competitions.
In all, the Blues have won just one of their eight matches since the turn of the year and have drawn each of their last three Premier League.
Chelsea have failed to win any of their last nine matches on the road across all competitions which should boost the home team’s chances. The London club have won only three of their last 11 away meetings with German opposition.
Dortmund extended their winning run since the World Cup break to six matches across all competitions after securing a 2-0 Bundesliga victory away against Werder Bremen this weekend.
And the news for the Germans gets better with so many injuries in the opposition camp. Out still are N’Golo Kane, Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja and Edouard Mendy.
Wesley Fofana (knee), Mateo Kovacic (calf), Denis Zakaria (thigh), Raheem Sterling (knee) and Kalidou Koulibaly (illness) are all doubtful and will be assessed ahead of the trip to Germany.
It’s the Germans to lose at this stage one feels.
