Brazil will be looking to put in another masterclass performance when they take on Croatia in the World Cup quarter-finals at the Education City Stadium in Doha on Friday evening.

Croatia will need to be far better than their previous outing which saw them scrape into the last 8. A 1-1 draw against Japan and no goals in extra time saw them win the cup’s first shootout 3-1.

Brazil, meanwhile, comes into this fixture high in confidence after they secured a comfortable 4-1 victory over Korea. Vinicius Junior scored his first in Qatar while in-form players Neymar, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta all netted at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Croatia and Brazil have met twice before at the World Cup, with the Brazilian side winning both matches, firstly by a narrow margin of 1-0 in 2006 followed by a 3-1 during the 2014 edition of the tournament.

Tite will have two players sidelined, in Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus due to their respective injuries.

Ivan Perisic will be looking to continue his run of form for Croatia, having already contributed to three goals with one goal and two assists two his name at this tournament.

Richarlison has been in some form for Brazil since the start of the World Cup and his goal against Korea took his tally to three goals in matches for the national team.
