Gareth Southgate

Callum Wilson was selected in an unsurprising squad chosen to represent England at the World Cup in Qatar.

The Newcastle forward was included ahead of Ivan Toney and Tammy Abraham to be Harry Kane’s deputy.

Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho was left out by coach Gareth Southgate. Sancho’s teammate Harry Maguire was also included despite being dropped at club level.

England begin their World Cup campaign against Iran on 21 November before facing the USA and Wales in Group B.
