Orlando Pirates shrugged off indifferent league form to walk away with the MTN8 spoils defeating Amazulu.
Pirates won their second MNT8 in three years thanks to a stunning free-kick from Monnapule Saleng on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The Soweto giants found their breakthrough half-way through the first half when Saleng found the back of the net with a free-kick from a tight angle.
Usuthu playmaker George Maluleka was denied an equaliser as Richard Ofori did well to keep the ball out of his net shortly before the break.
AmaZulu dominated possession in the second half but could not find a way past Ofori.
