Arsenal are looking to return to winning ways when they welcome relegation threatened Nottingham Forest side to the Emirates Stadium in their next Premier League encounter on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners come into this fixture after dropping points following their 1-1 draw against Southampton. Granit Xhaka’s 11th minute opener was not enough to see them eke out a win.
Forest, meanwhile, secured their first in 10 matches after they shocked Liverpool with a narrow 1-0 victory at the City Ground, with Taiwo Awoniyi scoring the decisive goal of the match.
The stalemate saw Arsenal remain at the top of the league standings with 28 points two ahead of second-placed Manchester City, while Forest remains rooted to the foot of the table with nine points, despite claiming a win in their last match.
This encounter at the Emirates Stadium will be the first encounter between the two teams in the Premier League since 1999 as Arsenal claimed a win in both the home and away fixtures, with a 2-1 win before edging Forest 1-0 in the return leg.
Mikel Arteta will be without three key players through injury, including Oleksandr Zinchenko, Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe, while Steve Cooper will be boosted by the fact that he has no new fresh injuries or suspensions ahead of the encounter.
Bukayo Saka has been in some form for the Gunners this season as he has contributed to eight goals, with four goals and registering four assists in 11 league appearances thus far.
Taiwo Awoniyi will look to build on his last performance after he netted the winner to help his side overcome Liverpool and claim their first win in 10 matches.
