Cape Town City came from a goal down to end Chippa United’s record four game winning streak.
Despite dominating possession and goal attempts, it was the away team who took the lead.
City, though, never gave up and eventually levelled the scores with less than 20 minutes to go when Khanyisa Mayo latched onto a ball from midfielder Thabo Nodada.
Mayo was close with another scoring attempt soon after before Thamsanqa Mkhize netted the match winner goal after a set-piece.
