Manchester City vs Bayern Munich

The pick of Tuesday’s Champions League matches is undoubtedly Barcelona’s trip to face Inter Milan.

But that isn’t the only match worth keeping an eye on. Here we break down the biggest talking points for the third gameweek of Europe’s biggest competition.

BET ON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Inter vs Barcelona – BETTING ODDS

The two European powerhouses need to avoid defeat in this contest. Both are tied on points after losing to Bayern. So this Group C encounter is a big one in the context of progressing.

Inter are on the ropes with their worst Serie A start for 11 years and that’s music to Barca’s ears with Xavi’s side seven games unbeaten in the league and improving all the time.

Edin Dzeko has scored in his last 3 matches against Barcelona but Inter have also lost their last three home games against Spanish clubs.

Tip: Barcelona to win

Liverpool vs Rangers

The perfect platform for Jurgen Klopp’s side to start a winning run. Their neighbouring guests have lost both matches in the Champions League so far and are far inferior in squad quality. Liverpool’s poor defensive system won’t be tested as severely and as such, the Reds are well placed to bank win number two of the season in this competition.

Tip: Both teams to score: No

Ajax vs Napoli

Ajax have it a wobble – from seven games unbeaten to three without a win, there is trouble brewing. The Dutch side have not advanced past the groups stages in seven of their nine UEFA Champions League appearances. But this is the first time facing Napoli so history doesn’t need to repeat itself.

Would you believe, Ajax have not drawn at home in 14 UCL games – 8 wins and a draw.

Tip: Draw or Napoli to win

Frankfurt vs Spurs – BET ON THIS MATCH

The same scenario faces this match as the one between Inter and Barcelona.

Both teams lost to Sporting Lisbon but beat Marseille, which points towards the two back-to-back legs of this matchup being a race for second place.

League results coming into this tie couldn’t be more different – Bundesliga leaders Union Berlin were brushed aside 2-0 at home while Arsenal smashed their rivals 3-1.

The Germans have conceded 11 goals at home this season and Harry Kane remains in fine form. It could be a lone goal that decides this contest.

Tip: Harry Kane to score
