Portugal will endeavour to keep their hopes of a UEFA Nations League finals berth alive when they travel to the Sinobo Stadium to meet the Czech Republic on Saturday evening.

The Czechs will be eyeing a chance to secure their first win in the group after they conceded back-to-back defeats in the group following their 2-0 loss to Spain at the La Rosaleda after conceding goals from Carlos Soler and Pablo Sarabia.

Meanwhile, Portugal will be hoping to bounce back and return to winning ways after they fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Switzerland after conceding a goal by Haris Seferovic at the Stade de Genève in their previous match.

When Czech Republic and Portugal squared off in the first leg, the Portuguese outfit managed to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory over Czech after Joao Cancelo and Gonçalo Guedes secured their team all three points in the first leg at the Estádio José Alvalade.

Jan Kuchta has been one of Czech’s standout performers in the competition, having contributed to three goals in the group stages, including two goals and registering one assist in the process.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be determined to fire his side to victory against the Czech side, having scored two goals and assisted one, especially after he was rested in his side’s defeat to Switzerland in their last group fixture.
