Denmark will be relishing to chance to secure their place in the finals of the 2022-23 Uefa Nations League when they renew their rivalry with Croatia in League A Group 1 at the Maksimir Stadium on Thursday evening.
Croatia will be looking to secure their third consecutive victory in the group after they defeat World Cup champions France 1-0 thanks to Luka Modric scoring the winning goal at the Stade de France.
Denmark, meanwhile, are hoping to secure back-to-back wins in the group stages following their comfortable 2-0 victory over Austria at the Parken Stadium after Jonas Wind and Andreas Skov Olsen both got their names on the score sheet.
Croatia are currently placed second in the group on seven-point from four games, two points behind Denmark, who are the current lead of the group with nine points from four matches.
Croatia will be hoping to repeat their performance of the first leg which saw them secure a narrow 1-0 win over Denmark courtesy of a goal from Mario Pašalić at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.
With 152 international caps to his name, the experienced midfielder Luka Modric has never been on the losing side of any international match that he has scored in, claiming 19 wins and three draws.
With each of his 17 scoring games in tournaments and qualifiers, Christian Eriksen, who has represented Denmark on 115 occasions, has helped Denmark remain unbeaten, with 15 wins and only two draws.
