Amakhosi secured their second win of the campaign after they secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Richards Bay.

The draw sees City remain at the foot of the standings while Chiefs are in eighth place with six points from four matches.

When the two teams met in the DStv Premiership, City came out on top after they walked away with four out of a possible six points against Amakhosi following a goalless draw at the DHL Stadium before City edged out Amakhosi 2-1 at the FNB Stadium in the return leg.

“We are expecting another tough game [against the Citizens],” Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane told SuperSport ahead of the clash in Cape Town.

“We will be playing against a team that is also very good on the ball. They always wait for the right moment to launch their attack.

“They drew [on Saturday, against Stellenbosch FC] and they are playing at home [again against Chiefs] so they are in a position where they have got the belief that they can claim maximum points because they are playing at home.

“We are going to have to manage our boys now because you could see Keagan (Dolly) was cramping, (Kgaogelo) Sekgota was cramping and Khama (Billiat) as well, we had to substitute him and save him for the next game because the games are coming thick and fast.”

Eric Tinkler has no injuries or suspension on the cards and will have a full-strength squad for the upcoming match, while Arthur Zwane will be without the services of striker Ashley Du Preez after he suffered an injury in the game against Maritzburg United.

Darwin González will be looking to continue his current form for City, which has seen him contribute to three goals, including two goals and an assist in his last five games after scoring the opening goal against Stellies over the weekend.

Dillan Solomons will be high in confidence heading into this fixture after scoring his first goal for Chiefs in their win over Richards Bay over the weekend.
