Manchester United have seen a second bid for Brazilian forward Antony turned down by Ajax, according to reports.
The Red Devils’ initial £50 million bid for the Brazil international was promptly rejected by the Amsterdam-based outfit.
United countered with an improved bid but that it has fallen short of their valuation for Antony as Ajax remains firm on their £67 million valuation.
The 22-year-old played a crucial role in the team last season after he scored eight goals and provided four assists as Ajax won another Eredivisie title under Ten Hag.
Ten Hag is now eager to reunite with the Brazilians as he has already started his squad rebuild after signing Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez this summer.
And following United’s struggles in the final third of last campaign, United feel that capturing the services of Antony would bolster their attacking options and give them a different dimension moving forward but a deal will be difficult as United have already signed one Ajax star already this summer.
