New coach Erik ten Hag might not discard him so quickly according to fresh reports.

The Red Devils are to undergo yet another squad revamp with a number of players leaving and the likes of Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani already departed. The future of Mason Greenwood remains a doubt.

That said, the list of players to be shown the door this summer include Dean Henderson, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, Brandon Williams and Andreas Pereira. And Anthony Martial doesn’t find his name on the list.

Goalkeeper Henderson, once fighting for David De Gea’s No 1 spot, is on course to join Nottingham Forest on loan.

Ten Hag is keen on landing defender Lisandro Martinez which would make Bailly and Jones all but certain to leave. The Old Trafford club is about to bring in Tyrell Malacia would cast doubts on the futures of fellow left-backs Williams and Telles.

Martial scored nine goals in nearly 60 matches for Manchester United and Sevilla over the last 24 months. But only two seasons ago that Martial bagged 23 in all competitions.

It appears Ten Hag will wait and see if that Martial arrives for pre-season training.
