Swallows FC will aim to reclaim the top spot in the PSL promotional/relegation playoff table when they welcome the University of Pretoria to the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The Dube Birds are hoping to return to winning ways in the playoffs after they suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Cape Town All Stars when Ronaldo Maarman and Ndiviwe Mdabuka cancelled out Grant Margeman’s 63rd-minute opener at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.

AmaTuks, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last three playoff matches following their 1-1 draw against Cape Town All Stars at the Tuks ABSA Stadium as Thabang Sibanyoni’s 44th-minute opener was cancelled out by a goal from Ndiviwe Mdabuka 10-minute later.

Swallows come into this fixture sitting in second place in the promotional/relegation playoff table with four points from three games, while AmaTuks sit at the summit of the log with five points after three matches.

Swallows and the University of Pretoria will come into this fixture level in terms of results in the last five previous meetings between the two sides with two wins each, while the last outing ended in a goalless draw.

Tlisane Motaung will be without the likes of Thabang Sibanyoni and Ayanda Mvambi due to suspension, while Dylan Kerr only has one player out for the clash in the form of Junaid Sait, who will serve a one-match suspension.

Players To Watch:

Grant Margeman:
The Swallows midfielder will be relishing the chance to get his name on the score sheet after bagging his first goal in the playoffs in his last game against Cape Town All Stars.

Wonderboy Makhubu: The AmakTuks forward will be looking to continue his form in the playoffs after scoring and assisting a further one goal in three matches against Cape Town All Stars and Swallows FC.
