Pre-Match Comments:

Cape Town City boss Eric Tinkler:
“We potentially could have our fifth win in a row, something that hasn’t been achieved at the club before, so that’s a target and an objective. You would love that momentum going in the game at the end of the month against Mamelodi Sundowns.

“We need to go and play without any fear. We want to try and achieve our objectives and one of those objectives is ensuring that we finish in the top four. So a result against Royal AM just distances us from the teams that are lying sixth to eighth on the log.

“Royal AM have proven to be a very stubborn, difficult team to score against in recent games. The majority of the teams that have played them have created many more chances than them have had more possession than them, and yet Royal have somehow always managed to get the final result and win the match.”

In head-to-head stats between the two teams, Cape Town City has dominance over Royal AM, having won three out of five games to Thwihli Thwahla’s one, while one game has ended in a goalless draw.

Eric Tinkler and John Maduka will be boosted by the fact that both team’s players will but fully fit for the clash in Chatsworth with no injuries or suspensions on the cards for both teams.

Khanyisa Mayo has been in fine form for the Citizens in the last few games, having scored the winning goal in their last game, while also scoring four goals in his last six matches.

Victor Letsoalo recently rediscovered his form in the league after he got his name on the score sheet in their win over Marumo Gallants, while also scoring three goals in his last two matches in the league.
